UNESCO: Azerbaijan's participation in 4 multinational nominations has been included in the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity

At the 18th session of the Intergovernmental Committee for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of UNESCO in the city of Kasane, Botswana, Azerbaijan's 4 multinational nominations have been included in the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.

AZƏRTAC reports, citing the National Commission of the Republic of Azerbaijan for UNESCO, that at the session of the Intergovernmental Committee, Azerbaijan's participation in 4 multinational nominations has been included in the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. These nominations are: "Art of Tazhib" (Azerbaijan, Iran, Tajikistan, Turkey, and Uzbekistan), "Iftar and its related social-cultural traditions" (Azerbaijan, Iran, Turkey, and Uzbekistan), "Sadaf art", as well as "Balaban craftsmanship and performance art" (Azerbaijan and Turkey).

Furthermore, the acceptance of the next periodic report concerning Azerbaijan's "Yalli (Kochari, Tenzere) traditional group dances of Nakhchivan," included in UNESCO's List of Intangible Cultural Heritage in Need of Urgent Safeguarding, is anticipated.
