UNESCO official hails Azerbaijan’s hospitality and professional organization of major global events

Azerbaijan is a country distinguished by its hospitality and professional organization of global events such as COP29, Gabriela Ramos, Assistant Director-General for the Social and Human Sciences of UNESCO, told AZERTAC.

“To achieve realistic climate goals, the global community needs to take more targeted and tailored action. Initiatives to finance climate transition are very important in this regard. Because the transformation of energy systems, the expansion of renewable energies, and providing resources required to form a new model of consumption and production processes are among key priorities,” the UN official said.

Gabriela Ramos expressed her confidence that tangible and sustainable results regarding climate finance would be achieved within the framework of COP29.
