"Africa Week" has started at the UNESCO headquarters.
AZERTAG reports that the opening ceremony of the "Africa Week" was held at UNESCO. The African group of the organization in cooperation with the African Union will focus on the culture and art of the countries of the continent during the "Africa Week".
UNESCO Director-General Odre Azule and ambassadors of African countries attended in the event.
It should be noted that Azerbaijan is one of the sponsors of "African Week". During the week, our national cuisine will be presented and our music will be played at the event. Besides, the video promoting our country will be displayed on screens at the UNESCO headquarters. Our country was represented at the opening ceremony of the "Africa Week" by the Permanent Delegate to UNESCO, Ambassador Elman Abdullayev and the staff of our mission.
Azerbaijan has also contributed to the training of personnel in African countries within the Non-Aligned Movement group under UNESCO. In particular diplomats from African countries have obtained the opportunity to study at ADA University.
