The exhibition of Mahmud al-Kashgari's work "Dīwān Lughāt al-Turk" was held at ADA University

On March 14th, ADA University celebrated the 950th anniversary of Mahmud al-Kashgari's work "Dīwān Lughāt al-Turk" by exhibiting the first Latin-script manuscript dedicated to Khalid Said Khojaev.

AZERTAC informs that at the exhibition, the work "Məzhər üt-Türki" by Abdurrahim Ardabil Shirvani’s, which is the only textbook from the XVIII century, was also exhibited.

The compiler of both publications is Professor Nadir Mammadli, the director of the Institute of Linguistics named after Nizami of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences.

The exhibition was dedicated to the international conference on "Studying and Preserving the Historical and Cultural Heritage of the Turkic World - From the Perspective of UNESCO," jointly organized by the National Commission of the Republic of Azerbaijan for UNESCO, the International Turkic Academy, the Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation, the National Commission of Turkey for UNESCO, and ADA University's Institute of Development and Diplomacy.

The exhibition, prepared by Vafa Abdullayeva-Nabiyeva, an expert in the Electoral Group of UNESCO and lecturer at the Institute of Linguistics, was presented by the lead specialist Aysel Movlamova. Visitors were provided with comprehensive information in Turkish, Russian, and English languages.
