The Minister of Culture of Azerbaijan has met with permanent representatives of several countries at UNESCO
2024-05-02On May 2nd, within the framework of the 6th World Forum on Intercultural Dialogue, Minister of Culture Adil Karimli met with permanent representatives of several countries at UNESCO.
AZERTAC reports that during the meeting, Azerbaijan-UNESCO cooperation was discussed, emphasizing Azerbaijan's active participation in the organization's activities.
It has been noted that in October 2022, Azerbaijan's proposal for the agenda of UNESCO's 215th session, titled "Baku Process: Promoting Intercultural Dialogue and Social Inclusivity for Sustainable Peace and Development," was unanimously adopted. On behalf of our country, gratitude was expressed to the UNESCO Executive Board for their support.
Minister provided information about a special session on "The Impact of Mines and Unexploded Ordnances on Cultural Property," which will be organized in Aghdam on May 3rd within the framework of the Forum.
It has been reported that the session will focus on the resolution adopted by UNESCO in 2023 regarding "The Impact of Mines on Cultural Property." There was an exchange of views on issues of mutual interest during the event.
