Azerbaijan pursued an active humanitarian policy in 2023. In the current year, numerous initiatives of our country launched within the framework of the UN Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) have been realized.

AZƏRTAC reports that Azerbaijan's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Jeyhun Bayramov, stated this during a press conference on the outcomes of the year.

The minister said that among the implemented initiatives, the inclusion of nominations of Khudafarin bridges, Azikh and Taglar caves in the tentative list of World Heritage List Nominations of UNESCO can be cited as an example. He also highlighted in his address that ensuring the urbanization of liberated lands in accordance with high standards, despite acts of urbicide during the occupation period, has become one of the country's key priorities. He emphasized the importance of continued effective cooperation with the UN Habitat Program in 2023.
