UNESCO International Silk Road Network held the online meeting

An online meeting of the UNESCO International Silk Road Network was held. Our country was represented at the session by the coordinator of the Silk Road online platform program in Azerbaijan, academician Shahin Mustafayev.

He informed about the events and projects implemented in Azerbaijan in recent years in connection with the Silk Road. The scientist noted that last year our country joined the UNESCO "Silk Road Series Nomination" program, and the Silk Road Research Center was established under ANAS.

Academician Mustafayev also spoke about the problems in the implementation of international projects related to the Silk Road in the new conditions, especially during the coronavirus pandemic.

The meeting was attended by UNESCO Assistant Director-General for Social and Human Sciences Hing Gu, Head of Research, Policy and Perspectives in the Social and Human Sciences Sector John Crowley and others.
