Sixth session of the General Assembly of the States Parties to the Convention for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage took place in Paris

From 30 May to 1 June 2016, sixth session of the General Assembly of the States Parties to the Convention for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage took place in Paris at UNESCO Headquarters. Representative of the National Commission of the Republic of Azerbaijan for UNESCO also participated in the event.

During the session, a report was presented by the Secretariat on its activities covering the period of two years, the rules of procedure for the submittion of nomination files to the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity were reviewed, and new members of the Intergovernmental Committee for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage elected.

In the course of the visit, the delegation of Azerbaijan met with Ms Dafna Feinholz, Chief of Section of Bioethics and Ethics of Science, as well as with Mr Erik Falt, Assistant Director-General for External Relations and Public Information.
