Azerbaijan has been elected a member of the UNESCO Committee for the Protection of Cultural Property in the Event of Armed Conflict

The 9th meeting of the States Parties to the Second Protocol to the 1954 Hague Convention for the Protection of Cultural Property in the Event of Armed Conflict was held during November 30 and December 1, 2021.
Elections to the UNESCO Committee for the Protection of Cultural Property in the Event of Armed Conflict were held on November 30 during the meeting. The Republic of Azerbaijan was also nominated for membership in the Committee. Accordingly, Azerbaijan was elected a member of the Committee for the next 4 years with the support of the absolute majority of the states participating in the voting process.
