Anniversary of inscription of Azerbaijan’s Mugham on the UNESCO Representative List celebrated in Ankara

A ceremony was held in Ankara on the tenth anniversary of the inscription of Azerbaijan’s Mugham on the UNESCO Representative List of Intangible Cultural Heritage.

The event was initiated and supported by the National Commission of the Republic of Azerbaijan for UNESCO, organized by TURKSOY and the Embassy of Azerbaijan in Ankara.

Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Ankara Khazar Ibrahim, TURKSOY Secretary General Dusen Kaseinov and UNESCO Representative Deniz Chakir spoke at the event and highlighted the importance of UNESCO's activities.

After the performance of the dance group "Sama", Azerbaijani "Garabagh" mugam group performed a concert program.
