The Azerbaijan Carpet Museum has been awarded the best practice in the field of intangible cultural heritage database by the International Council of Museums’ (ICOM) International Committee for Documentation (CIDOC).

According to the information received from the Carpet Museum, International Documentation Committee (CIDOC) presents the practice of the Carpet Museum as an example to world museums.

The International Documentation Committee provides advice on the museum's good practice in the documentation process and its development.

It should be noted that CIDOC was established in 1950 as one of the International Committees of the International Museums Council (ICOM). The International Council of Museums is an international organization established under the status of UNESCO’s non-governmental organization.
